VEX Robotics

What is VEX V5 Robotics Competition

VEX V5 is an exciting, game-based STEM robotics competition for middle and high school students. Teams design, build, and program their own robots from scratch using the VEX V5 system, then compete in tournaments that challenge engineering, programming, strategy, and teamwork.

Each season features a new challenge where alliances of two teams face off on a 12×12-foot field with autonomous and driver-controlled elements. As teams progress through local, regional, and state events, top performers advance to the VEX Robotics World Championship in the spring.

This hands-on experience builds critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and real-world STEM skills—while fueling passion for innovation.
